Introducing Rogness Reserve and our Pro-Am ESB01 Oct 2013, Posted by BLOGNESS in
Last week was a busy week with 2 new beer releases and our first firkin night at the brewery. First, the firkin of Vinton with hatch chiles was outstanding and had a great aroma and just the right amount of spice throughout. We will make this a monthly event with a unique version of our beers each time.
This is the first offering in our new “Rogness Reserve” line of beers. These are small one-off batches that will be bottled and kegged in limited quantities and will never be the same. Belfort is a Belgian-style Strong Ale with a beautiful crimson hue from caramel malts and hints of plum, grape and banana from the yeast. Grab a bottle or glass right now and a bottle for later. This beer will age well and develop subtle flavor complexities over time. Ideally served at 50-55°F.
Pairs well with roasted meats or fish, and stinky cheese.
8.2% ABV / 32 IBU
Brewed with Jay McEvers of the Austin Zealots. A mixture of American, German, and English malts and specialty grains are used in combination with traditional English hop varieties to create a beer that is truly an international concoction with a nod to the English origins of the Pale Ale style. This beer will be served at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO, and is available in limited supply on draft and in bottles in central Texas. Ideally served at 50 – 55°F.
Pair with fish and chips.
6.5% ABV / 40 IBU
We want to thank everyone who has visited us recently for a game night, trivia night, firkin night or tour. For those who have not, we hope to see you at the brewery for our Friday happy hours/special events or our Saturday tour from 1-4. We’re selling beer by the glass, there is no cover, and kids and dogs are welcome.
Join us on Saturday, September 28, for the Texas Craft Brewers Festival at Fiesta Gardens. One of our favorite events of the year, we are one of 40 breweries participating. We’ll be walking up our line educating you on what we are pouring to make our line run more efficient. You can purchase your tickets here: 2013 Texas Craft Brewers Festival.
October 10-12 we’ll once again be pouring at the Great American Beer Fest in Denver, CO. Tickets have been sold out for a while but if you are going, be sure to stop by and try Bella, Beardy Guard, Gigantophis, Ost, Rattler, or our Pro-Am ESB.
Have you heard of Locapour? It is a new web-based show that celebrates locally brewed beers in cities around the world. They recently interviewed Forrest at Craft Pride and focused on Yogi, our chai spiced amber that many of you know and love. We think it turned out great. Share with your friends!
