Rogtoberfest and a plethora of October events04 Oct 2013, Posted by Uncategorized in
And just like that, fall is upon us. To celebrate, we just released Rogtoberfest on draft and, for the first time, in bottles. It was recently listed as one of the best fall beers on the Thrillist website and was very well received at the Texas Craft Brewers Fest last Saturday. It has already been delivered to Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio.
A very busy October begins with the Austin Beer Guide release party at Craft Pride in downtown Austin tomorrow (10/3). Hope you can stop by, say hi and have a pint of Rogtoberfest with us. You can also join us there on Oct. 27 for a Rogness pint night where they will be tapping some never-before-seen versions of a few different Rogness beers, including Gigantophis and Ost on a nitrogen tap!
Our monthly events at the brewery continue with game night this Friday (10/4). Game night is always on the 1st Friday of the month unless we say otherwise. Trivia night is the 2nd Friday and firkin night is the 4th Friday. We have also recently changed our Saturday open house to once a month, instead of weekly. However, October is crazy busy and so the next Saturday that we will be open is November 9th, from 1-4pm.
Speaking of trivia night, it will still be held on Oct. 11 even though many of us will be in Denver for GABF. We’ve lined up another great food truck for you: Greengo’s Home Cooking. Taproom opens at 4 as usual. Trivia will start at 7. Last month’s turnout was awesome! We did buy more pitchers FYI.
We’ll be in Denver next week for the annual Great American Beer Fest. If you have a ticket, stop by our booth to try Rattler (Pale Ale), Gigantophis (Imperial IPA), Beardy Guard (Biere de Garde), and Ost (Porter). The Pro-Am ESB we did with homebrewer Jay McEvers will also be served at the Pro-Am table.
Regional Movie Premiere: One Couch at a Time
Join us Friday, October 18, for the Austin premiere of One Couch at a Time, a fun documentary about couch surfing. Free admission. Free appetizers! Taproom opens at 4, appetizers served at 6, movie starts at 7.
Austin Beer Week is always a lot of fun and we’re excited to be participating in more events than ever before. We’ll send out another email right before as a reminder but here’s a quick rundown.
October 25 – Firkin Night at the brewery (4-9pm)
October 25 – Tasting at Rosedale Market (5-8pm)
October 27 – Pint Night / Meet the Brewer at Craft Pride (6pm)

October 28 – Taproom open for cheese pairing event (6-9pm)
October 29 – Pint Night at WorkHorse (7-9pm)

Hope to see you soon! As always, thanks for supporting local craft beer.
